Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen...Jack is mobile! Last night I left him on his alphabet mat in his room for about 30 seconds while I went to the kitchen to check on dinner. When I came back, he had somehow gotten himself over to the heater (about 5 feet away) and was playing with the electrical cord. I took the cord away, of course, unplugged the heater, and waited for him to show me how he managed to perform this new feat of movement. The answer is, he scoots (or army crawls, or whatever you want to call it)...backwards... It is the funniest thing. This morning he figured out how to go forward also, although that's a little tougher. He is really proud of his new skill, and has been scooting around his room since he figured out how to do it. I guess we need to get on the child-proofing pronto!

I can't wait to see this! That is quite exciting. I was worried that you were going to say "...while I went to grab cookies..."
Look out! Here comes jack!
I've been laughing at the thought of him scooting backwards. That is too cool.

Welcome to a whole new world! Congratulations...I think!
Notice that the blogging has stopped ever since Jack became mobile. Got your hands full Stacey!?! Haha, I am at that in between spot - sitting, but not traveling...yet. Or Gwen is.
